SNOOKER STAR JIMMY White has claimed he lost everything in a fire at his Surrey home.
The 54-year-old, posted a picture on Twitter of smoke emerging from the building where he has a flat.
He wrote:
According to reports, the fire broke out on the third floor yesterday morning and fellow players and famous fans were quick to offer sympathy to the six-time World Championship runner-up.
White has lived in the flat for less than two years and it is believed he will still take part in the German Masters this week.
A spokesperson for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service told The Mirror:
“A male in the flat at the time had to be rescued and got out safely.
“He was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not need to go to hospital.
“The fire was contained to one flat and we believe it was an electrical fire sparked in the kitchen.”
